A look at the Devereaux business proposal template
Devereaux
The first business proposal template I created for Sam Schwartz, Devereaux evolved over time as I became acclimated to the needs of the Marketing team. This template—along with templates for covers, dividers/tabs, and organization charts—was created in Adobe InDesign. Initially intended for print pursuits, Devereaux became the standard for Sam Schwartz's business proposals and inspired future templates (such as Fletcher).
Styles
Devereaux is pre-loaded with an array of Character, Paragraph, and Object Styles to fit any use case based on previous business proposals/templates that predated my time at Sam Schwartz.
Character Styles
Devereaux included Character Styles for emphasis; bold, italic, and colored type. Other style options were provided to be used for superscript, hyperlinks, all capitals, and even instances where no breaks in the text were desired.
Paragraph Styles
The Paragraph Styles included in Devereaux were formulated to allow the user to mold this business proposal template to whatever they needed it to be. Base styles for headings and body were provided alongside alternatives. These alternatives allowed text to span a single column or multiple columns, be organized in ordered or unordered lists, or even stylistically morph call-out or pull-out text and quotes to different alignments.
Object Styles
Devereaux also had Object Styles built in to allow the user to easily apply formatting to external text or image frames that dictated the overall look and positioning of those objects. In the above image ("A look at the Devereaux business proposal template"), an alternate 2-on-2 column body copy Object Style is used. Also pictured are stylistic options for pull-out text and quotes.
Table Styles
Devereaux includes basic Table and Cell Styles, as well as alternates, to quickly style tables as needed.
