As I said last month, I’m a big fan of CBS’ reality television show, Big Brother. If you remember, I said that my current favorite houseguests were JoJo (Britney’s team) and Ian (Mike Boogie’s team) – but a lot has changed since then.
Spoiler Alert Big Brother 14 airs tonight at 8 EST on CBS, but if you haven’t seen last Sunday’s episode, you might not want to read the rest of this post.
Coaches Enter Game
Recently it was announced – after an America’s Choice vote – that the coaches (Britney, Janelle, Mike Boogie, Dan) would be offered the option to reset the game and play for the half-a-million dollar grand prize. Each coach, aside from Mike Boogie, decided to reset the game and therefore the game was officially reset. I personally was really happy with the decision – I wasn’t a fan of the coaches twist.
Unfortunately, my girl JoJo (Staten Island, represent!) was evicted on Day 20. I was really rooting for her, but I think she was used as a scapegoat and was sent packing. Apparently staying true to your teammates (like the other House Guests did) is harmful to your game if one of your teammates goes crazy (Willie was removed from the house on Day 14 due to violence).
However, Ian (one of my original picks) is currently still in the game, though I’m not entirely sure of where his allegiance lies. There are far too many alliances going on at the moment. As of right now, I want either Ian or Britney to win. I’ve come to the conclusion that my love for Britney is more for her personality than her game (she hasn’t yet proven herself as a top player in the Big Brother House).
What is going on with the theme song? The above video is the current theme song which you can compare to past versions thanks to this video from BigBrotherMusicFan on YouTube. In my opinion, seasons 6-10 had the best version of the theme song, and it has just gotten progressively worse ever since. Apparently we’re going with some random techno-remix style theme this year.
The most recent twists, as you may have noticed, include bringing in past HouseGuests. Why? If you’re going to bring back previous contestants, have another All Stars season. What might be a great idea for new twists would be to reboot older shows (Project DNA, EX-Factor, etc)
It’s a lot of:
